National Program

Our team which includes Dayna’s iCare Foundation youth volunteers travel nationally (throughout the US and its territories) to provide underprivileged families with children the supplies needed to plant and sustain a garden. Included are items such as a rakes, shovels, trowels, hoes, gardening shears, gloves, watering pails, vegetable seeds and resource materials.  We also provide words of spiritual encouragement and plenty of love. This program empowers families to promote their own personal health by growing nutritious food at no cost.  It also prepares them to rely on their own resources in the event of a national disaster, food shortage government cutbacks or extended government shutdowns.  Please contact us if you would like to partner with us in distributing gardens to underprivileged families.

Distributing gardens in Puerto Rico

Gift a Garden, Puerto Rico

In May of 2019, a team from Dayna’s iCare Foundation (DIF), which included 4 youth volunteers, traveled to Puerto Rico to distribute Gift a Gardens to needy families with children, which included gardening supplies. Also in the bundle of items were Bibles for the parents and toys for the children. This program helps to combat food insecurity, while promoting healthy eating habits, and encouraging families to bond through growing a garden.

Pastor and Mrs Negron from Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, graciously hosted the team.  Pastor Negron researched and selected families who needed and desired to receive a Garden.  The team traveled to each of the recipient’s homes to distribute the Gardens, fellowshipped with the families, and provided prayer to those who expressed a desire.

Everyone who participated in the mission reported that they enjoyed the project and Puerto Rico, immensely.  The weather was beautiful and the people were kind and loving.  One of the best parts of the mission was the experience the project afforded the youth who participated.  They learned the importance of giving and how fulfilling it is to sacrifice for people in need.  The Gift a Garden, Puerto Rico mission was successful!
